Alexander Methodist Youth Fellowship

Rev. Sam Cutrone Jr.

Servant - Leader

I was born in Dallas Texas long, long ago.  In 1962, Sam & Esta Jo Cutrone adopted me and I was  blessed to grow up all over the world.  I have lived in Europe, South America, California (for 1 year), suffered for Jesus in the Virgin Islands for 2 years.  In 1977 we ended our moving streak in Corpus Christi, Texas.

I graduated from Carroll High School in Corpus Christi and began a lengthy college education. I began my education at Texas A & I Kingville and then transferred to "The University of Texas in Austin" where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. In 1986 I married Belinda McQueen Cutrone and she still claims me today. She even put me through Seminary at Austin Presbyterian Seminary. In 1990 I graduated and began serving in small membership churches.

Over the past 17 years I have been privileged to serve in ministry with Martindale U.M.C., Grange Hall U.M.C., Rockhill U.M.C., Sommerville U.M.C., Crossroads U.M.C.  It seems that God has blessed me with the gift of working in ministry with the small membership congregations.  In them I find a genuine love for Christ and a willingness to extend God's love to everyone God sends their way.

While in ministry over these 17 years we were blessed with 2 sons Ethan and Jason.  With them came more blessings  2 parakeets, 2 dogs, lots of fish funerals and a few hamsters.  Before moving to Alexander U.M.C. we lightened the Ark by 2 birds, the fish and hamsters, so we are down to 2 boys and 2 dogs.

As we come to Alexander U.M.C. to serve and work with new brothers and sisters in Christ.  We are  excited about this opportunity and invite you to come and join us as we worship, pray, study, laugh, play and grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you have any questions about Alexander U.M.C. I can answer please don't hesitate to contact me.

Blessings :-)

Sam

Miss Amanda Lynne Evert

Alexander Youth Minister

Amanda has been the youth minister here at Alexander for 2 years.  She is originally from Friendswood, Texas where she spent all her childhood.  Growing up she was an active youth at Webster Presbyterian and camper at Camp Cho-Yeh in Livinston, TX.  She also was active in dance and art, which she still participates in today.

She is an animal science undergrad from Texas A&M University graduating in August of 2007(as you can see there is bi-partisan in our church when it comes to football).  She is waiting for her calling paitently but is hopefully getting a job teaching as a science teacher in the meantime. She is currently engaged to Dr. Dominguez and they will be getting married in January 2008.

She heading up the youth group and activley participates in other church activities.  We hope to get the youth going on some mission trips and grow more in God's love.

Peace!

Amanda
